Celebrating St. Patrick's Day in Venice

On Sunday, many Irish people and even more non-Irish will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.  

Here are a couple of recommendations on where to get a drink in Venice for St. Patrick’s Day. If you know of other bars offering drink specials, please list them in the comments.

• The Townhouse and Del Monte Speakeasy. This Prohibition-era pub will offer free Irish stew, $5 Irish punch and $8 Irish whiskey specials. There will also be live traditional Irish music.

• James' Beach will be offering corned beef sliders all day Saturday and Sunday. To wash down all that corned beef, James Beach will offer the following drink specials: $5 Guinness, $6 Jameson Cocktails, $7 Irish Car Bomb and Irish Flu Shots.

• Cabo Cantina will offer 99-cent Coronitas and 2-for-1 specials on all drinks between 4-8 p.m.

• Danny's in Venice will offer a special Irish menu feauting corned beef and cabbage, corned beef hash and corned beef sliders. O'Ryley Irish IPA will be $5.
