Co-Op Community Bike Shop Celebrates Four Years
Bikerowave celebrated its four year anniversary Friday night with a party to thank all its hard working volunteers.
Bikerowave has become a major fixture in Mar Vista. The store on Venice Boulevard welcomes all those who want to get about on two wheels and regularly offers free workshops on bicycle maintenance. They also have a stall every Sunday at the Mar Vista Farmers' Market where they offer free "valet bicycle parking."
To celebrate their first year in the neighborhood and their fourth year of operation, Bikerowave threw open its doors Friday night for a rocking party.
Whether in spandex or torn, jean material; whether you ride a department store mountain bike or self assembled fixie, co-op community bike repair shop Bikerowave will welcome you to get your hands dirty.

Everyone that works at Bikerowave is a volunteer. For seven dollars an hour, they'll teach you how to fix your own bike. The money is then put back into the shop for spare parts, rent and, of course, anniversary parties.
