Half-Off 'Meatless Monday' Menu At Venice Restaurant
Café Gratitude is offering 50-percent-off Monday summer specials to help improve your health and spare the planet.

VENICE, CA – Café Gratitude in Venice, part of Southern California's plant-based restaurant group Love Serve Remember, has launched a "Meatless Monday" promotion, offering 50-percent off select menu items for the next three months to promote plant-based diets for both personal health and for the environment.
Cafe Gratitude, at 512 Rose Ave. in Venice, prides itself as an innovator in organic plant-based cuisine, sustainability and "ethical" sourcing with such efforts as 100-percent recycled glass bottles, paper straws and compostable packaging, in addition to pushing for composting food waste in the restaurant and community.
"By eating just one plant-based meal per day instead of meat, you could save 2.5 pounds of carbon output, 133 gallons of water and 24 square feet of land (source), while each day you leave meat off your plate you can reduce your carbon footprint by over 8 pounds (source)," company officials said. "If a family eliminates meat and dairy for one day per week, it would be the same as not driving a car for five weeks (source)."
