Inadvertent Email Sent to LAUSD Parents

From the Editor:

While working on a story last night about the Los Angeles Unified School District's Board of Education meeting, I attempted to sign up for a district mailing list for parents. The email went out with the subject line saying "subscribe," but instead of adding my email address to the list, an unintentional email was sent to parents.

I apologize for the inconvenience and would like to ensure parents that it was an accident. No one has been subscribed to Patch and that was not an advertising pitch. Also, neither Patch nor myself has the email addresses of district parents.

Again, sorry for the mishap. Any questions, feel free to send me an email.
