Los Angeles Kings Clinch Playoff Spot with Victory over Boston

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings clinched a playoff berth Saturday with 11 games left in the regular season.

The Kings 2-1 victory over Boston combined with the Arizona Coyotes' loss Saturday ensures the team will make the playoffs.

This year will be the sixth time the Kings make the playoffs in the last seven years. The team currently sits atop the Pacific Division five points ahead of the Ducks and just two points behind the West Conference leading Dallas Stars.

Tickets for Los Angeles Kings Stanley Cup Playoff games at Staples Center will go sale to the general public April 7, the team announced tonight after being assured of its playoff berth.

Tickets will go on sale to season ticket holders on April 4.

Playoff tickets are expected to sell out quickly. The Kings have sold out 196 consecutive regular-season and playoff games at Staples Center.
