Man Found Dead At Venice Beach Homeless Encampment

VENICE, CA — A man at a homeless encampment in Venice was found dead Friday with blunt force trauma to his head, authorities said.

Officers were investigating near the area of Ocean Front Walk and Dudley Avenue about 3:20 p.m. Friday, according to media reports.

Homicide investigators describe the man as in his 40s and possibly homeless. His name was not released.

A suspect description was not immediately available.
