Man Killed, Woman Wounded In Venice Car-To-Car Shooting
The victims' vehicle overturned and landed in the front yard of a home, leaving one man dead and a woman fighting for her life.
VENICE, CA — A woman is fighting for her life today and a man was killed in a car-to-car shooting in Venice Monday morning.
Both victims were shot shortly after 2:30 a.m. at Sixth and Brooks avenues, according to Officer D. Orris of the Los Angeles Police Department. Officers called to the scene arrived to find an overturned vehicle with two gunshot victims inside. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was taken by paramedics to a hospital where her vital signs were stable, Orris said.
The shooter pulled up beside the two victims and opened fire as they drove down the road, according to investigators. The shooter fired several times, striking both victims who are in their 20s, according to the LAPD. authorities did not immediately release their identities.

According to investigators, the shooter was in a white, four-door sedan that fled eastbound on Rose Avenue.
Surveillance video showed the victims' vehicle crashing into a parked car after the shooting, overturning and landing on someone's front lawn.
