Man Struck, Killed By Two People On Scooter In Venice
A man was struck and killed by two people riding a scooter in Venice Saturday night, authorities said.
VENICE, CA — A man was struck and killed by two people riding an electric scooter on a Venice sidewalk over the weekend, authorities said Monday.
The fatal crash happened about 9:45 p.m. Saturday on Lincoln Boulevard, near Marco Court, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's West Traffic Division.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, died at the crash, officials said. Coroner's officials were working to identify him.

Authorities say the man and woman on the scooter suffered minor injuries.
Throughout the pandemic, scooter use has risen in popularity. Several scooter crashes and problems have come up in the Venice and Santa Monica area. Electric scooters are available on sidewalks for people to rent and are required to be in the street with only one person per scooter. Traffic laws for scooters are expected to be followed for people who use them.
