Northridge Contestant Featured On 'Wheel Of Fortune'

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Dana Thomas would like to buy a vowel. On Tuesday, the Northridge native will appear on "Wheel of Fortune."

Thomas is a sales and marketing rep who has has been watching the show every night for over 40 years. She has been married 15 years, has three children and two grandchildren, and enjoys cruising and wine tasting.

She applied to be a contestant online and participated in virtual auditions, and said she enjoyed the application process, which requires filling out puzzles and submitting a video explaining why she would be a good candidate. Pre-pandemic, contestants audition live in hotels in cities where the Wheelmobile, a bright, 39-foot bus, has parked.
