Photo: Kobe And Gigi Mural In Venice Honors Their Legacy

On the one-year anniversary of Kobe and his daughter Gigi's death, a mural in Venice continues to honor their lives and legacy.

VENICE, CA — When Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi died last year in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, artists created murals across Los Angeles to honor their lives and legacy, including one at Venice Beach.

One mural in Venice at 827 Ocean Front Walk near Cafe Venicia was created in 2020 by Angie Guzman, Alfonso Garcia and designer Jio.

Across Southern California, 247 murals honor Kobe, according to Kobemural.com. In the U.S., 325 murals honor Kobe. There are at least 112 murals across the world in more than 30 countries.
