Police Seek Suspect In Fatal Hit-And-Run In Venice
Los Angeles police are asking the public to help identify a suspect who struck and killed a 60-year-old pedestrian in Venice.
VENICE, CA — Los Angeles police are asking the public to help identify a suspect who struck a 60-year-old pedestrian in Venice.
The fatal hit-and-run happened about 5:50 p.m. Jan. 17, according to the Los Angeles Police Department Pacific Division.
The pedestrian, a 60-year-old Los Angeles resident, was taken to a hospital and died from his injuries Jan. 26, police said. His name was withheld.

A driver in a dark-colored minivan drove northbound on Lincoln Boulevard, just south of Flower Court, when it crashed into a pedestrian crossing the roadway outside of a crosswalk, police said. The driver fled without identifying themselves or helping the pedestrian, which is required by law.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time, police said.

"Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves," police said.
A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members who provide information that leads to the offender’s identification, arrest, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
