Readers' Choice: Worst Intersection in Venice-Mar Vista

The results are in. Venice and Mar Vista residents chose the intersection of Venice and Lincoln boulevards as the worst intersection.

As a reminder, here were some of the local intersections that people voted on:

• Pacific Avenue and Brooks Avenue
• Main Street and Brooks Avenue 
• Lincoln Boulevard and Venice Boulevard  
• Palms Boulevard and Sawtelle Boulevard 
• Westiminster Avenue and 5th Avenue 
• Walgrove Avenue and Rose Avenue 

Lincoln and Venice was crowned the worst intersection with 65 percent of the vote.

This particular intersection becomes a bottleneck on weekday late afternoons as the rush-hour commute begins to build. The signs telling motorists not to block the intersection are routinely ignored usually as vehicles make a left onto southbound Lincoln Boulevard.
