Venice Beach Reacts To Projected Biden Win With Dance Party
People were cheering, honking and dancing in Venice Beach following the news that Joe Biden is the projected winner over Donald Trump.
VENICE BEACH, CA — Venice Beach locals met up at Abbot Kinney and Westminster Saturday, shutting down the road to dance and pop open champagne bottles—they were there to celebrate the projected win for former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris.
From YouTube stars and social media influencers to elementary school kids, the group sang swayed to "Despacito" and bounced up and down to the Miley Cyrus hit "Party in the USA."

Cody Temple and Morgan Linkhorst live in Venice and heard about the dance party on Instagram. They wanted to be there.

"We were like, 'let's go celebrate," Linkhorst told Patch. "Everybody has just been freaking out all day and everybody's so happy to finally get Trump out of office. We're all happy, we're all partying."
Linkhorst woke up to tons of texts from friends and family about the news on Saturday.
"It feels like a weight off your shoulders," she said. "It's crazy."
