Applications Open For Affordable Housing In Walnut Creek

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Rental Pre-Applications are available starting today for new, affordable apartments in downtown Walnut Creek.

Here are the income qualifications for the apartments:

• 1 Person - $43,860
• 2 Persons - $50,100
• 3 Persons - $56,340
• 4 Persons - $62,580
• 5 Persons - $67,620
• 6 Persons - $72,600
• 7 Persons - $77,640

The Riviera Family Apartments is currently under construction, with completion projected for September. The apartments are centrally located in Walnut Creek, close to the Walnut Creek BART Station.

There will be 8 studio, 24 one-bedroom, 7 two-bedroom, and 19 three-bedroom apartments.

Amenities include car and bicycle parking, a children’s play area, outdoor terrace, two community rooms with full kitchens, and on-site laundry.

Eight apartments are reserved for households with a member living with HIV/AIDS. Eighteen are assisted by the Project-Based Voucher Program made available by the Housing Authority of County of Contra Costa. Referrals for the Project-Based Voucher apartments are made directly from HACCC’s waiting list, which is now closed.

Pets are not allowed, with the exception of service animals.
