19th Annual Cesar Chavez Community Award Request Nominations

The Friends of Watsonville Park and Community Services and the City of Watsonville invites nominations for their 19th Annual Cesar E. Chavez Community Awards being held virtually on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 6:30 pm. Nominations will be accepted until Friday, March 19th at 5pm by email, mail or online.

The Cesar E. Chavez Community Awards recognize individuals, organizations and businesses who engage Watsonville youth and empower them to help contribute to their community.

This year’s event theme is “Celebrating Community,” one of the ten values recognized by the Cesar Chavez Foundation. It states, “This is the value of sharing the joyous and respectful expression of cultural diversity through the reinforcement of the values of equity and responsibility to and for one another.”

Awards will be given in the following categories:

● Young Person (age 22 or under)

● Adult Role Model

● School

● Youth-Serving Organization

● Business

A selection committee representative of our community will review the nominations and select the award recipients.

Winners will be announced at the 19th Annual Cesar Chavez Community Awards being held virtually and online on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 6:30 pm.
