Loveless was behind the wheel of a red 1990 Mazda coupe on Freedom Boulevard, east of Pleasant Valley Road, near the unincorporated community of Corralitos, around 9:40 p.m. Sunday, California Highway Patrol officials said. His vehicle left the road, crashed into mailboxes, hit a metal gate, went up a dirt hill and overturned, landing on its roof, according to the CHP.
Loveless did not have his seatbelt on and the impact of the crash ejected him from the vehicle, CHP officials said. No one else was inside the car, according to the CHP.
