Dolan Fire 91 Percent Contained

The fire broke out Aug. 18 and has burned about 125,000 acres and destroyed 14 habitable structures.

BIG SUR, CA. — The Dolan Fire south of Big Sur in Monterey County has reached 91 percent containment, fire officials said Sunday morning. Work to fully extinguish the fire should be aided by more favorable weather and a predicted marine layer each evening, officials said.

The fire broke out Aug. 18 and has burned about 125,000 acres and destroyed 14 habitable structures. No one has died, according to fire officials. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
