Expect Travel Issues On S. Green Valley Road Week Of Sept. 2
Street and sidewalk improvements will be done on South Green Valley Road between Carey Avenue and Struve Slough the week of Sept. 2.
From City of Watsonville: Granite Construction will be performing street and sidewalk improvements on S. Green Valley Road between Carey Avenue & Struve Slough. During working hours, traffic may be limited to single lanes in either direction, foot traffic will be limited to one side of the roadway for the duration of this project. At all times, emergency access will be maintained.
The northbound number 2 lane of travel on South Green Valley Road between Struve Slough and Carey Avenue will be closed to traffic for the week of Sept. 2. The sidewalk on the east side of South Green Valley Road will also be closed to pedestrian traffic. All foot traffic will be directed to the opposite side of the road.
Additionally, the intersection of Carey Avenue will see a closure of the east side of the street for sidewalk and curb ramp improvements. A full closure to the intersection of Carey Avenue and Green Valley Road on the east side will take place Tuesday, Sept. 3, this will last for approximately three weeks.

During the week, crews will be working on prepping and pouring concrete for the new curb ramps and sidewalk on the east side of South Green Valley Road.
