MONTEREY COUNTY, CA — A fire damaged a two-story, single-family home Sunday evening in the unincorporated Monterey County community of Aromas, Cal Fire officials said. At 7:25 p.m., firefighters went to a home on Ballantree Lane near Rock Springs Lane where they saw smoke and flames coming from the second story.
The fire was most active in the attic. Cal Fire officials said all of the occupants of the home escaped without being injured. No firefighters were injured. Cal Fire officials said the residents of the home will be staying
with family members for the time being. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
