Flash Flood Warning in Effect for Watsonville as Creeks, Levees Continue to Rise

Breaking: Officials ask residents to use extreme caution around all local creeks and rivers.

WATSONVILLE, CA — A flash flood warning has been issued for areas of Watsonville as the Pajaro River, Salsipuedes and Corralitos creeks continue to rise this morning, city officials said. Fire officials remind residents to use extreme caution around all creeks, rivers drainage systems and any other bodies of water.

Firefighters have rescued numerous residents during the recent storms. On Monday night, firefighters successfully rescued a woman from a Santa Cruz creek. Two minors were hospitalized Sunday afternoon after fire crews rescued them from a lake near Watsonville.
