Handguns Seized, Suspected Drug Dealers Arrested

It's the 17th time this year the county Gang Task Force has recovered guns.

The county Gang Task Force confiscated two guns, methamphetamine, prescription pills and a small amount of heroin when agents stopped a vehicle for a minor violation in Watsonville on Wednesday evening, according to Sheriff's Sgt. Stefan Fish, who oversees the task force.

Tyler Webb, 26, of Santa Cruz was driving when the vehicle was pulled over on Holm Road at Jeanette Way just after 7 p.m. A Watsonville woman, 22-year-old Fallon Furtado, was with him in the vehicle, according to Fish.

The Task Force agents — a Watsonville cop and a sheriff's deputy — reportedly discovered methamphetamine, which was determined to be possessed with the intent to sell, as well as prescription pills, a small amount of heroin and two handguns in the vehicle, Fish said.
