House Shot At, Bullets Narrowly Miss Sleeping Children

Watsonville police are investigating the early-morning attack.





A barrage of gunfire struck a Roach Road house early Monday, penetrating the home and barely missing several sleeping children, Watsonville police reported.

The gunfire was reported around 1:40 a.m. on the initial block of the street, police said. 

Bullets were found in a bedroom where several children had been sleeping. One bullet was found on a bed near a sleeping infant, police said. 

No arrests have been made. Detectives ask that anyone with information about the attack call the Investigations Bureau at 768-3350 or the Tip Line at 768-3544.
