Motorcyclist Suffers Major Injuries In Watsonville Crash
The cause of the crash is under investigation, according to the California Highway Patrol.

WATSONVILLE, CA — A motorcyclist suffered major injuries in a crash on an off-ramp from state Highway 1 in Watsonville on Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported at 9:32 a.m. Saturday on the Airport Boulevard off-ramp from southbound Highway 1.
The 40-year-old man driving a 2018 Harley-Davidson motorcycle began to take the off-ramp but lost control as he approached a right-hand curve, CHP officials said. His left leg and the left side of the motorcycle struck a guard rail, causing the motorcyclist to be ejected over the guard rail, according to the CHP.
Good Samaritans stopped to check on the man, who was eventually taken by medical helicopter to Stanford Hospital. The cause of the crash is under investigation, but alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors, according to the CHP.
