Police Blotter: Drug Possession and DUIs

10:58 p.m. A vehicle is approached at a closed Watsonville park and Jaime Iniguez, 21, was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance on the 700 block of Vista Montana Drive. Her passenger Mario Murillo was taken into custody for a misdemeanor warrant. 

8:13 p.m. Police stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation on the 2000 block of Freedom Boulevard. The driver was Joaquin Martinez. During the stop, police located crystal methamphetamine.

7:24 p.m. Johnny Mendoza was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested for possession of a methamphetamine pipe and .6 grams of methamphetamine. 

5:53 p.m. Police were dispatched to the Valero on the 1100 block of Main Street regarding a shoplifting and a possible disturbance. Police contacted a male in front of the store matching the description and arrested Fernando Cortez for drug possession.
