Police Blotter: Suspected Burglar Shocked with Stun Gun

Friday, Oct. 11
Drug Possession: A 29-year-old man was arrested for drugs when he was caught sleeping in his vehicle on the 1000 block of South Green Valley Road around 2:30 a.m.

Thursday, Oct. 10
Threats: Someone left a threatening letter on the doorstop of a home on the 100 block of Wilkie Avenue overnight. 

Probations Violations: Police made several arrests of men who were in violation of their probation. One man had marijuana; another had stolen laptops.

Wednesday, Oct 9
Vandalism: A suspected burglar was shocked with a stun gun on the 100 block of Hangar Way when he resisted police. The 28-year-old was jailed for resisting arrest, vandalism and warrants. It happened just after 1 a.m.

Shoplifting: A woman was arrested for stealing from a store on the 1700 block of Freedom Boulevard around 9 p.m.

Grand Theft: A woman reported that one of her daughter's friends stole jewelry, cash and a tablet from their home on the 500 block of East Lake Avenue.

Tuesday, Oct. 8
Burglary: Two computers and a cell phone were stolen from a car parked on the 100 block of Crespi Way overnight.

Theft: A man reported that his brother's bike was stolen from in front of the downtown library while the brother was inside checking out a book. It happened around 7:30 p.m.

Burglary: A man broke into a West Beach Street apartment and stole items, but was caught on surveillance video and arrested.

Monday, Oct. 7
Assault: A man was arrested for trying to stab employees at CVS on Rodriguez Street after the confronted him about shoplifting around 2 p.m.

Drugs: A 51-year-old man as arrested for having methamphetamine and a pipe.

Theft: A man was ticketed for shoplifting from a business on the 1400 block of Main Street around 7:30 p.m.

Drunk in Public: A man was arrested around 11 p.m. on the 100 block of West Fifth Street after he caused a disturbance outside a home.
