Police Blotter: Woman Arrested for Beating Dog

Sunday, Aug. 18
Theft: A woman tried to shoplift from a store on the 1700 block of Freedom Boulevard around 4 p.m. She also had a warrant. 

Burglary: A home on the 100 block of Blanca Lane was broken into.

Drugs: A woman was arrested for having drugs and violating the terms of her probation around 7:30 p.m. on the 300 block of East Lake Avenue.

Saturday, Aug. 17
Theft: A 61-year-old man was cited for shoplifting on the 400 block of Rodriguez Street.

Cruelty to Animals: A woman seen beating a small dog was arrested on Freedom Boulevard south of Green Valley Road.

Commercial Burglary: A pressure washer was stolen from a business on the 1300 block of Freedom Boulevard overnight. 

Car Break-in: A vehicle was burglarized on the 100 block of East Beach Street overnight.

Friday, Aug. 16
Shoplifting: Two young women were arrested for theft at Kmart around 5 p.m.

Vandalism: A teenager was arrested for breaking the window of an apartment on the 600 block of Tuttle Avenue around 10 p.m. He was released to his mom.
