Single-Engine Plane Crashes While Landing In Watsonville

The FAA and the National Transportation Services Board will investigate the crash.

WATSONVILLE, CA — A single-engine plane with two people on board crashed Saturday morning while landing at Monterey Bay Academy Airport, authorities said. Information about the conditions of those on board was not immediately available.

The Bellanca Citabria aircraft crashed about 10:40 a.m. Saturday, Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said. The FAA and the National Transportation Services Board will
investigation the crash, Gregor said. The airport is located in Watsonville on Beach Drive.
