These Watsonville Traffic Signals Have The Longest Delays

WATSONVILLE, CA — Traffic: It's an unavoidable reality, but some South County intersections are worse than others, according to a recently released report.

INRIX analyzed traffic signal performance at intersections across the country, and found how much time traffic signals spend on green and times of peak demand.

Most intersections in the Watsonville area are in the least-delayed green range, which indicates minimal delays of no more than 20 seconds per car. Fortunately, no local intersections were in the most-delayed red range, which indicates cars may spend 55 seconds or more waiting at a light.

There were a handful of intersections in the slower half of the intermediate orange range, which indicates cars may spend 35 to 55 seconds waiting at a light, according to the INRIX report.

• Freedom Boulevard and South Green Valley Road (29 percent on green; 3:15 p.m. Tuesday)

• Ocean Street and Water Street (29 percent; 12:30 p.m. Friday)
