Thunder, Hail, Flooding Possible Thursday Afternoon: Watsonville

Hail and high winds are possible, National Weather Service officials forecast.

WATSONVILLE, CA — The National Weather Service issued a special weather advisory Thursday, warning thunder, hail and winds greater than 30 mph were possible near Watsonville.

Thunderstorms near Interlaken were reported at 2:50 p.m., moving east at 5 mph, NWS wrote. Pea-size hail and heavy downpours are possible.

Torrential flooding is occurring. Drivers should not drive into flooded roadways.
