Traffic Reduced To One Lane On South Green Valley Road Week Of Sept. 9
Street and sidewalk improvements will be done the week of Sept. 9 on S. Green Valley Road between Carey Avenue & Struve Slough.
From City of Watsonville: Granite Construction will be performing street and sidewalk improvements on South Green Valley Road between Carey Avenue & Struve Slough. The northbound number two lane of travel on South Green Valley Road between Struve Slough and Carey Avenue will be closed to traffic for the week of Sept. 9. The sidewalk on the east side of South Green Valley Road will also be closed to pedestrian traffic. All foot traffic will be directed to the opposite side of the road.
Additionally, the intersection of Carey Avenue will see a closure of the east side of the street for sidewalk and curb ramp improvements. A full closure to the intersection of Carey Avenue and Green Valley Road on the east side has taken effect. Please follow all detour signs off Freedom Boulevard to access Carey Avenue; this closure and detour will last for approximately two weeks.
During the week, crews will be working on prepping and pouring concrete for the new sidewalk on the east side of South Green Valley Road.
