Watsonville Airport Hosting Free Fireworks, Open House

In addition to fireworks, the free event will include formation flyovers, food vendors, introductory flights, and a special children's area.

WATSONVILLE, CA — The community is invited to the annual open house at Watsonville Municipal Airport, 100 Aviation Way, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday that will be capped off by a fireworks show. The free event will include formation flyovers, food vendors, introductory flights, and a special children's area with bounce houses, climbing wall, facing painting and ramp chalk art.

The California Highway Patrol, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office will display their aircraft and the Calstar air ambulance will also be at the field. Airport tenants have also been invited to display personal, flying club, trainer and corporate aircraft.

Admission is free. For vehicles parking on the crosswind runway, the cost is $10.
