Watsonville City Plaza's Washington Bust Gets Relocated: Report
Find out where the statue will now sit.

WATSONVILLE, CA — The controversial George Washington bust in Watsonville City Plaza will be relocated to the library, The Pajaronian reported.
The decision came this week after the Watsonville City Council voted in favor of the relocation. The statue can serve as an educational piece in the library, where a plaque will be created to add context about the history of the first American president, the paper reported.
The community led a growing call to remove the statue in the wake of the death of George Floyd. In September, the city published a survey seeking public feedback on the statue's fate.
