WATSONVILLE, CA — On Thursday California expanded COVID-19 vaccine eligibility statewide to those ages 50 and older, which means a flood of new people are searching for appointments in Watsonville and across the state.

Am I Eligible For The COVID-19 Vaccine?

Here's who is eligible as of April 1 to sign up for a vaccine appointment:

  • Ages 50+
  • Essential workers in health care, food, agriculture, education, child care, emergency services, libraries, foster care, custodial/janitorial/housekeeping services
  • People with high-risk health conditions
  • People who work, live or recently lived in a high-risk congregate living setting such as a correctional facility, homeless shelter or behavioral health facility
  • Housed or unhoused people who are homeless
  • Public transportation personnel (private plane workers excluded)
