2 Prisoners Who Escaped Into Hills Captured

Two inmates who that was clearing brush near Studio City were captured at a home in Riverside County, the state Department of Corrections reported today.

Pablo Ontaneda, 18, and Christopher Ochoa, 19, were part of a fire crew from the Ventura Youth Correctional Facility in Camarillo. They walked off while the crew was working last Friday afternoon near Mulholland Drive and Laurel Canyon Boulevard, said Bill Sessa of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

The young men were taken into custody late Tuesday night at a residence in Jurupa by personnel from the CDCR's Fugitive Apprehension Team and a task force from the U.S. Marshals Service.
