West Hollywood Commissioner Brad Torgan has officially filed nominating papers for the June 2012 ballot as a candidate for the California State Assembly’s 50th district.
Torgan filed his nominating signatures at the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder office in Norwalk on Wednesday.
Torgan was trailing frontrunner Torie Osborn by a 15-14 percent margin in a poll released last week by the Osborn campaign.
“I’m in this race to confront the issues facing California,” Torgan said in a statement. “Sacramento is a mess and I want to give the voters of the fiftieth Assembly District an option to vote for someone who wants to clean it up.”
Torgan also launched his website www.Torgan2012.com last week, where voters can learn more about the candidate and his vision for California.
