The following is an announcement from the City of West Hollywood:
The City of West Hollywood will host the Breast Cancer Educational Forum on Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the National Council of Jewish Women, 543 N. Fairfax Ave. in Los Angeles. The panel discussion will be moderated by West Hollywood Councilwoman Abbe Land, as well as panelists from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
“It remains important that we take the time, this month and throughout the year, to continue to raise awareness and provide the most current information possible regarding breast cancer,” said Councilwoman Abbe Land. “Breast cancer remains one of the leading causes of death for women, and its impact on friends, families and communities cannot be overstated."
Community education and information tables will be located in the lobby before and after the Breast Cancer Educational Forum panel discussion. In addition, Wasserman Breast Cancer Risk Reduction Program survey kiosks will be available to electronically administer breast cancer risk surveys. Bring your own brown bag lunch. Refreshments will be provided.
