The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) will host a series of public outreach meetings through the summer regarding the development of a Regional Transportation Plan (RTP).
The RTP provides a vision for transportation investments throughout the region. Using growth forecasts and economic trends that project out over a 20-year period, the RTP considers the role of transportation in the broader context of economic, environmental and quality-of-life goals for the future, identifying regional transportation strategies to address mobility needs.
In the effort to obtain as much public participation as possible, SCAG is hosting 2012 RTP/SCS public outreach workshops throughout Southern California.

The development of the RTP/SCS requires and depends on meaningful collaboration with local governments and stakeholders. SCAG has and will continue to develop the 2012 RTP/SCS by partnering with sub-regions, counties, cities, CTCs, and local and regional stakeholders.
