Two bands from competed in Rockstar Music Education's Battle of the Bands event at the on Sunday.
The Firecrackers, composed entirely of first-graders Matilda Oberman (drums), Dean Bowman (bass), Adrien Duteil (guitar), and Kai Roque (vocals), performed The Beatles' "Twist and Shout."
Rock Rats Forever, featuring Chloe Makabeh on bass, rocked Aerosmith's "Walk This Way."

The bands rehearsed one hour each week since October in preparation for their big day. The battle saw bands from scores of local schools taking part.
