“While our Public Health officials are taking steps to ease restrictions, we must remain vigilant in preventing community spread of COVID-19,” said City of West Hollywood Mayor Lindsey P. Horvath. “ICUs in our region are still stretched to capacity, so please do not let your guard down: wear a mask, keep a six-foot distance, and wash your hands frequently. These basics all make a big impact on reducing community spread. Also, while residents who are 65 years and older can now register for COVID-19 vaccination appointments, our Public Health officials are telling us that the vaccine supply is still extremely limited. I urge everyone to be patient as LA County works to expand capacity and supply in the weeks ahead.”

Los Angeles County residents who are 65 years old and older can now register for COVID-19 vaccination appointments. Residents with internet access and a computer are urged to use www.VaccinateLACounty.com to sign up for a vaccination appointment. For people without access to a computer or the internet, or people with disabilities, an LA County call center is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. to help schedule appointments at (833) 540-0473.

On Monday, January 25, 2021, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health confirmed 43 new deaths and 6,642 new cases of COVID-19. To date, LA County Public Health has identified 1,079,396 positive cases of COVID-19 across all areas of LA County and a total of 15,303 deaths.
