Friday's Scoop: Motion City Soundtrack, Dredg to Rock Sunset Music Fest

The three-day event continues today and features food trucks, beer gardens and an endless list of live musical performances.

Main Event:

Friday's lineup sees Goodnight Noises, and The Mowglis on the Jack Daniels Experience Acoustic Stage, 8950 Sunset Blvd., starting at 6 p.m.; Motion City Soundtrack at 7 p.m. at the ; a 7 p.m. performance by Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger of The Doors, with vocalist David Brock, at ; and an 8 p.m. concert with at the . See website for set times and participating venues.

Other Happenings:

  • Board of Equalization Chair Jerome Horton, Sen. Fran Pavley, D-Santa Monica, Assemblyman Mike Feuer, D-West Hollywood, and the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will hold a free small business seminar at 1 p.m. in , discussing strategies in today's economy.
  • will be hosting their second fundraiser, , in association with Elevation Fitness, Body360 Nutritionals and Team2End AIDS from 8-10 p.m. at  nightclub.  will go toward a scholarship for an underprivileged single parent to attend Frank Z's 9-month Pilates Teacher Training Program.
  • (661 N. Robertson Blvd.) presents a live singing cabaret, The Peek A Boo Show, at 9 p.m., followed by resident DJs Morningstar and Casey Alva, and a special performance by Linnea, until 3 a.m.
