Holiday Tamales: Ordering Deadline Nears At Gracias Madre

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — Locals keen on serving tamales for their holiday celebrations — but short on time or skills to make their own — have a few remaining days to order from Gracias Madre, a restaurant that specializes in vegan and vegetarian Mexican cuisine, with locations in Newport Beach and West Hollywood.

Orders still will be accepted for a few days, according to the eatery.

Two varieties are offered: Savory Tamales filled with jackfruit carnitas, purslane and green sauce; and Sweet Tamales with guava and cinnamon filling. The price is $48 per dozen.

Orders must be placed 48 hours in advance, with the final day to place an order as Sunday, Dec. 22.

Customers can order via phone, in person or online at www.graciasmadre.co. Orders must be picked up by 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, the business said.
