DIVA update: Naughty or Nice Doesn't Impact WEHO UPS DEADLINE

Not easy to appreciate people who won't be appreciated as I see fit- my job is to make it happen- this time I made sure of it. Who's Boss?

Let's dispel with the obvious- it isn't easy being a Diva nor a Diva Appreciator- they are hard jobs but someone has to do them.

Ever been to the UPS, etc., on Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood? Well, virtually EVERYONE agrees with me, besides the two gorgeous blondes who instantly came to his defense when I asked,

"Steven- don't you ever smile?"

It was a consecutive chorus, one after the other, but not in the same place at the same time, i.e., a plot-

"He smiles for me, all the time. He's ALWAYS smiling. I don't think I've ever seen Stevie NOT SMILING or LAUGHING SO JOYFULLY, I ALWAYS EQUATE IT WITH A SMILE."

Yeah, right. (They both refused to be photographed- you getting the picture?)

Let me tell you what I see- some guy who's always thinking on his feet- always moving and shaking ME up, always NOT charging me to use a stapler, and always making a point of me being a deadbeat stapler(er.) Enough with the obvious.

There's a newbie named Amir who doesn't even know whether to call him "Steve" or "Steven" or "Just Steve." Frankly, he seems to smile way too much. Everyone else, such as the always smiling, Moss, says "Steve's the boss," except some guy I may have seen in there once or twice and I said, "Who are you?" He said, Mr. Orman. (Allow me to be ruthlessly honest- my iPhone died, so as of moments ago, I was missing two names, Moss and Mr. Orman, plus photos-I had said to PATCH readers, "just deal with it and I will update but I just bought a new charger- Tim Cook," and you did and Tim Cook's people fixed my iphone- no charge.)

I asked this guy I've seen maybe twice, behind the counter, what he did, Moss whispered, "He's Steve's boss."

"Oh," I said, then asked, "Is Steve really that good?" Finally- the truth comes out- it always does, after I wrestle it out of people. Here's the takeaway- ok? No notes- "memorized."

"MY LIFE IS LONGER BECAUSE OF STEVE."

So, what else could I do, I had no choice, obviously. I said, please, be Steve's boss for once...and ORDER HIM TO SMILE.

Mission Accomplished. ANOTHER WEHO DIVA EXPOSED.

UPS may suggest that Monday is your last day to get your UPS packages sent and delivered to the East Coast and parts in between via Ground, i.e., least expensive. Steve's inside tip is that it is TODAY. Trust him. He wouldn't steer you wrong- I suggested once that he may have erred inadvertently- I never said anything again for a week and then never doubted him "FOREVER."
