Kei Nishikori of Japan defeated American Jack Sock, 4-6, 6-3, 10-7, Sunday on the final day of the “Maria Sharapova & Friends” two-day exhibition at the UCLA Tennis Center.
A Champions tiebreaker -- where the winner is the first player to reach 10 points and leads by at least two -- was played in lieu of a third set.
Nishikori is eighth on the Association of Tennis Professionals singles rankings. Sock is 26th, second among Americans.
