Main Event: First Annual Food Day

• Author Joshua Baldwin will discuss and sign copies of The Wilshire Sun, "a mirthful novella about a whimsical, hapless, over-aspiring, under-achieving young writer from Brooklyn who moves to Los Angeles hoping to write for the movies," according to the description. The event starts at 7 p.m. David's book costs $10.50.

• There is a 20 percent chance of showers today, reports the National Weather Service. West Hollywood will be otherwise mostly sunny, with a high near 74, calm wind and a low around 59.
