Monday's Scoop: Lucy Lean to Sign Cookbook 'Made in America'

Main Event: Lucy Lean at Book Soup

The former editor of edible LA will be discussing and signing her new book, Made in America: Our Best Chefs Reinvent Comfort Food, at the Sunset Strip venue. Deemed the "ultimate contemporary comfort food bible for the home cook and armchair food lover" by Book Soup, Made in America showcases dishes conceived by the finest chefs. The event kicks off around 7 p.m. Book costs $45.

Other Happenings:

• If you are heading to the  today (9 a.m. - 2 p.m.) in 's north parking lot, stock up on ingredients for one of Jennifer Brody's . Chose between or , or tell us your favorite recipe.

• There is a Public Safety Commission Meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Conference Room at City Hall. The agenda includes reports from the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station and local fire departments, as well as a presentation from Peace Over Violence.
