NBA Player Allen Crabbe Charged With DUI In West Hollywood

The Atlanta Hawks guard was pulled over while driving in West Hollywood and arrested by a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deput​y.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — An Atlanta Hawks guard is expected to be arraigned on DUI-related charges Thursday after he was pulled over in West Hollywood this summer, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said.

NBA player Allen Crabbe, 27, was charged with misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and driving with a .08 percent blood alcohol content or higher earlier this month, according to a press release from the DA’s office.

Crabbe was allegedly driving under the influence in West Hollywood on June 26. He was stopped by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy, who arrested him, the press release said.

Before he played for the Atlanta Hawks, Crabbe played for the Portland Trail Blazers and Brooklyn Nets.

The basketball player faces up to six months in county jail if convicted as charged.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
