Sara Rabuse's 4-year-old Lhasa Apso is a popular pet around town, says Rabuse.

Since West Hollywood is considered the pet friendliest city in Southern California, Patch decided to launch a new series that spotlights residents' most adorable companion animals.

Sara Rabuse's 4-year-old Lhasa Apso landed this week's Pet Spotlight. Named after the Ewok from Star Wars, at 23 pounds, Wicket is a big, furry ball of love and affection, and a regular at , says Rabuse, an 8-year resident of West Hollywood, who lives in the Sweetzer and Fountain area of the city.

Rabuse found Wicket less than two years ago at Bark n' Bitches. The dog boutique at 505 N. Fairfax Ave. rescues dogs from high kill shelters.

"Me and my boyfriend at the time adopted Wicket together. Two weeks later, we broke and I took full custody of Wicket," Rabuse told Patch. "He has been the love of my life and my best friend ever since!"

In their spare time, Wicket and Rabuse enjoy lounging at coffee spots, long walks on Venice Beach, hiking Runyon Canyon, walking the through local West Hollywood neighborhoods, running through the local dog park with friends, and going to Home Depot, because Wicket loves his cart rides.
