Reminder: Holiday Tree Recycling Offered Until Jan. 19

Place your tree on the curb and it will be collected on your regularly scheduled trash pickup day.

Tired of sweeping up pine needles? Sick of your pets knocking off the ornaments? It's probably time to dispose of your Christmas tree.

The city of West Hollywood is providing residents with its annual holiday tree recycling service through Saturday, Jan. 19.

Follow these simple steps to ensure proper tree disposal:

  1. Remove all ornaments and decorations.
  2. Remove stand/base.
  3. Place tree next to your trash bin for collection.
  4. DO NOT place tree in a plastic bag, as it may prevent pickup of your tree.

Christmas trees will be picked up on normally scheduled trash pickup days.
