Saturday's Scoop: 'Exit The King' Opens Tonight at Classical Theatre Lab

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Saturday in West Hollywood:

Main Event: Exit The King

The absurdist play by Eugene Ionesco, translated by Neil Armfield and Geoffrey Rush and presented by Classical Theatre Lab and the City of West Hollywood, opens this evening. Exit The King tells the story of King Berenger the First, who was rumored to be more than 400 years old and at one time was able to command nature and force others to obey his will. Performances are at Fiesta Hall in Plummer Park. The show runs through April 1. General admission is $20, with $15 for West Hollywood residents, $10 rush, and $5 for students or seniors.   • The Los Angeles Nomadic Division (LAND) presents Adam II, the late Paul Cotton, to embody the Astral-Naught while interacting with guests and staff at . A reception will follow the performance at 6 p.m. For more information, visit www.nomadicdivision.org.

  • The National Weather Service forecasts mostly sunny, with a high near 74, dropping to a low around 52. Expect calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in West Hollywood, and partly cloudy skies by the evening.
