Saturday's Scoop: City to Host Low Cost Pet Vaccination Clinic

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Saturday in West Hollywood:

Main Event: Low Cost Pet Vaccination Clinic

The city is teaming up with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals LA to offer low cost rabies vaccinations ($5) and microchipping ($25) for cats and dogs, as well as DHPP, FVRCP, Leukemia ($15) and Bordetella ($10) vaccinations in the parking lot until 1 p.m.

• D-Generation, Prima Donna, Biters, Thousand Watt Stare - Troubadour at 7:30 p.m.
• Run Devil Run, Bullets and Octane, Gunpowder, Secrets, The Knives, Sex n Violence - Viper Room at 7:30 p.m.
• Stefan Marks, Jeff Campbell, Megan Slankard, Keli Price - Genghis Cohen at 7:45 p.m.
• Best of Reggae/Ska: Hecho Mal, Soulfiyah, Son Locuaz, Sandbox Bullys, and Chen - House of Blues at 8 p.m.
• Lee Scratch Perry, The Lions, The Expanders, DJ Selecta 7 - Roxy Theatre at 8 p.m.
• UFO, Mindflow, Feisty Piranhas, Metal Knights, Scarred - Key Club at 8:30 p.m.

Other Happenings:

• SASSASS continues its free summer concerts in Weho's . Guitarist and composer John Schnieder will perform his first solo concert, featuring four compositions written for a specially adapted steel guitar, at 5 p.m.

• What's Wrong With Angry? continues its run at Celebration Theatre. The play was written at a time in British history when legislation prohibited schools and local authorities from depicting homosexual relationships as an acceptable view of family life. Tickets are $30.

The Forecast:

• The National Weather Service predicts a mostly sunny Saturday. The high in West Hollywood will be near 85, dropping to a low around 63.
